He will be sadly missed by his daughter Darlene Clark (Don), son Bill Rawluk (Elaine); sister Karin Ziegler; his six grandchildren who all knew him as ‘Pa’: Clinton (Kristina), Ryan (Amanda), Andy (Katrena), Patrick (Megan), Jamie (Christina), and Megan Kee (J.P.); as well as eleven great-grandchildren: Aurora, Rowan, Daimen, Riley, Sydney, Eleanor, Scott, Samantha, Peter, Theodore and Sullivan; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was born in Nordegg, Alberta and loved the outdoors. He started hunting and fishing at an early age and as a youth he caught and broke wild horses for summer riding. He joined the Navy on his 18th birthday and once his term was up, he joined the CNR and later, Federated Co-op, moving the family to numerous towns in the three western provinces. Jim and Bernice made good friends in every stop they made. Jim enjoyed skiing, golfing and curling. Jim was involved with ham radio clubs in both Salmon Arm and Calgary and made contacts all around the world.
Dad was always up for an adventure. He loved spending time with family, especially hearing of his grandchildren’s antics, the more mischievous the better. He had a gruff exterior and a soft heart. He will be greatly missed.
