Janice Josephine Groszko

Janice Groszko, one of the kindest and friendliest people you could ever hope to meet, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on April 20, 2014, in the company of her family. Janice was born to Steve and Josephine Sefcik (née Mieranovicz), on August 27, 1941, in Bellevue, Alberta. In 1962 she married the love of her life, Vernon Groszko, and they raised two lovely children together, Dawn (Kevin) and Wayne (Emily).

Janice brought a ray of sunshine to everyone’s life, with a smile and a greeting for each person she met, even in later years when Huntington’s disease might have made it more difficult to smile. She will be dearly missed by her husband, children, her brother Ken (Sandee) and her extended network of cherished family and friends.

We would like to thank the staff at Brentwood Care Centre, and in Emergency and the ICU at the Foothills Hospital for the excellent care they gave Janice.

A Memorial Service will be held at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail South, (at Lake Fraser Gate) Calgary on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.
