Born on November 21, 1951, in Thadou, Burma, Jason was the beloved son of You Choung Hou and Peik Kyoung Yeon, and a devoted brother to Cynthia (Albert) and Lilia (Simon).
He was known for his unwavering work ethic and was often the hardest worker in any room. Jason had a deep passion for geology, current events, politics, the stock market, and golf—interests he followed with curiosity and enthusiasm throughout his life.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Catherine; his sons, Justin (Elsa) and Jeremy (Theresa); and his cherished grandchildren, Sierra, Landon, and Violet.
A Celebration of Jason’s Life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
