Jennie moved with her family to Canada from Poland as a young child. The family eventually settled in Delburne, Alberta where Jennie lived the majority of her life. It was here that Jennie developed a formidable work ethic and sense of giving back. Known as “Auntie Jennie" she was a caring and loving presence in the lives of three generations of nieces and nephews. She was very close to her parents Olga and Bill Ruzycki and especially close to her siblings Vanda, Mary, Walter and Bill. All have predeceased her. Jennie's only son Doug also died many years ago. Jennie was proud of her Delburne roots and the community with many friends and acquaintances. She will be remembered best for owning the Delburne Variety store and her amazing vegetable garden where she grew enough potatoes and carrots for the entire family. Jennie and her brother Walter Ruzycki resided at Cambridge Manor and died within a few days of each other.
A private ceremony will be held in Delburne for both Jennie and Walter at a later date.
