I was very shocked to hear of Jerry's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him at the Palace Theatre. He was a great mentor and friend. Jerry always had something interesting to say and you could see the pride in his expression when he spoke of his family. Jerry had such a great sense of humor. We shared many bouts of laughter when we worked together. My heart felt sympathy goes out to all of Jerry's family. He was taken far too soon.
God Bless

So very sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. We worked together at Famous Players at a few different theatres and always had the best of times. Always full of fun and mischief. Last saw Jerry after many years at his restaurant downtown. Sincere condolences to his family.

I just got news of Jerry's passing. I enjoyed every shift working with him but more than that we were friends. Many a night we spent playing Backgammon and if it wasn't for Jerry I never would have wound up with my first husband or the life I've had. We also were on the same bowling team and he bought me my first 10 pin bowling ball. I'm so glad I got to see him a few years ago when I gave a talk on the history of the movie theatres in Calgary. My deepest sympathies to Danny Gow and of course Jerry's lovely daughters. Thanks for everything Jerry, truly some of the most fun I've ever had was working with you.

Jerry you always made me smile even when I had a bad day! Your corny jokes and smile will be truly missed. You had a heart of a little kid and the memories of you and my son, Charlie, creating havoc in Rocky Mountain Plaza will always be with me. You were one in a million. RIP

Jerry and I were friends through high school. In the years after, I would run into him at university, the movie theatre, his cafe and then at McDonald's where I took my mom for breakfast almost every day. Through that entire time, the constant me memory is of his smile and cheerful greetings to everyone.

My condolences to Mrs Gow and family. I will miss Jerry, he was a good friend. He had smiles and teasing jokes for everyone. He always wore shorts when I saw him even when it was -30 outside. His face always lit up and you could hear the love in his voice when he talked about his family. Jerry was an amazing man and I am blessed to have known him.
