Mike graduated from North Dakota University and had a long, respected career in corporate tax accounting in Calgary's oil and gas industry. He received awards from the Tax Executive Institute and CAPP for his service and leadership. Mike had a passion for sports, hiking, travel, gardening, and volunteering.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Beverley (née Baillod); daughter Tracy (Michael); son Todd (Amy); grandchildren Nate, Ty, and Zoe, his brother; Steven (Diane); sister-in-law Marie, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Sherry and brother David.
He will be remembered for his generosity, energy and devotion to family, especially his joy in supporting his grandchildren's achievements.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 1407 - 7 Avenue N.W., Calgary on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
