Joseph James Walsh passed away on Monday, March 19, 2012 at the age of 53 years. Joseph was a lifelong learner having recently completed a degree in Film Production from SAIT. He expressed his creativity through film, screenwriting and professional culinary pursuits. Joseph is fondly remembered by his daughter Meghan; stepdaughter Caroline; father Bert and wife Hélène; brother Tim; and sisters Suzanne and Jane, as well as numerous relatives. He was predeceased by his mother June Eileen; and a younger brother, Thomas Emmett. Relatives and friends were invited to a Prayer Service held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 1566 Northmount Drive N.W. Calgary on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to a charity of one’s choice.
