

Joyce lived with her family in a few locations in Canada- most notably Calgary, Kingston, Whitecourt, & Medicine Hat. She worked as a clerical/Admin support to several organizations over her working years.
Joyce was known for her love of art and music-playing the accordion & organ; handicrafts that included knitting, crocheting, rug hooking, ceramics; baking (cornflake cookies & butter tarts) as well as being an acrylic painter artist. She loved camping and to travel, taking some very memorable trips with various family members & friends including a Maritime camping trip, Hawaii, Disneyland, England, New York, Cuba, Mexico, an Alaskan Cruise, to B.C. & Ontario. She loved to garden and has passed this talent on to her children and grandchildren.
Joyce is predeceased by her parents, her brother Les Kimber and sister-in-law Jan Kimber as well as nephew Michael Kimber.
Joyce is survived by her brother Laurence (Betty) Kimber and her 5 children- Karen (Andy) Price, David (Helene) Young, Todd (Ruth) Nordstrom-Young, Jeff (Silvana) Arthur, Scott (Anna) Arthur. 13 Grand children- Rachel (Tyler) Krohn; Lyden (Erin) Price; Celine, Madeleine (George), Alexandre & Stevan Young; Jordan (Samantha) Nordstrom-Young, Cameron Nordstrom-Young, Tanner (Erin) Nordstrom-Young; Tyler and Chantelle Arthur; Alexandra Dayao and Amber Arthur. 4 Great grandchildren- Brynne & Torah, Sophia, Kade. Long time family friend- Alice Janum (Bill Waldie) & Marci Geisler. Nieces: Sandra, Val, Ashley; nephews: Mike, Laurie, Marshal; extended family and many friends will remember her.
Celebration of life will be held Sunday May 19, 2024 @ 1-4 pm at the Double Tree by Hilton Calgary North @ 2120 16th Ave NE, Calgary, Alberta. Refreshments will be served. Tributes from family and friends will be welcomed on this day with an open mic.
