Joyce passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary, Alberta on October 25, 2010 at the age of 80 years. Joyce is lovingly remembered by daughter Karen Bader (Jozef Horvat), son Doug Beswick (Linda), grandchildren Julie Ehman (Jim), Nathan Mortlock (Kalina) their son Matthew, Kevin Beswick (Mary) and Bryan Beswick. As well as special nieces Sarah Webber, Katie Hartling and nephew Jeff Hartling (Rene) and brother Kenneth Hartling. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by husband Walter S. Beswick, son Walter G. (Pete) Beswick, second husband Reginald Gillie, brothers William (Bill) and Neil and parents Raymond and Margaret.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of units 36 & 37 at the Foothills Hospital for the comfort and wonderful care they gave to Joyce and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church in in Port Dufferin, Nova Scotia.
