Julius Palacsko

Surrounded by his family, an amazing husband, father and grandfather, Julius Palacsko, passed away at the age of 77 on Tuesday, May 14th. Missing him is his wife of 46 years, Rose, his daughter, Susan (Ralf) Luthin, son, Rob (Donna) and son, Jason (Nora). He was the very proud Papa to Justin, Tyler, Jessica, Josh, Ella and Adison. Julius is also survived by his sister-in-law, Helen (George) Economides, brother-in-law, Sandy (Joanne) Suranko and sister-in-law, Heather Suranko, his brother Joe (Maria) in Hungary along with nephews and nieces.

Dad always had a story to share along with his great sense of humor and a sparkling smile. His passions were his family, his friends, a good game of gin rummy and his love for sports. He especially enjoyed watching his sons and grandsons play hockey. We wish to express our great appreciation to Dr Spice and the Rural Palliative Consult team, Thea, Maybn, Sheryl and the Okotoks Home Care Team, Dr Finegan and the High River Hospital Palliative Care Team in Unit 300. You have truly made a difference for us all.

A Celebration of Life will take place at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South, (at Lake Fraser Gate) Calgary on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will take place from 10:00 to 10:50 am prior to the service. Julius will be laid to rest at Queen’s Park Cemetery at 1:30 following a brief reception at the Funeral Centre.
