Kathryn will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Scott; children, Laura (Jody), Kim and Jenny; grandchildren, Alexander, Kaitlyn, Rachel, Ella, Julia and Erik; siblings, Jane, Susan, David, Sheila and Bobby. She was predeceased by her twin sister Karen.
Kathryn was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and grew up as part of a large family in Winnipeg and area. She moved to Calgary at the age of 20 where she met her loving husband, Scott. They then moved to Fort McMurray where they raised three wonderful daughters.
After staying home to raise her children, she went back to college, where she earned her GED and studied computer science, earning multiple scholarships and awards. She then embarked on a fulfilling career in IT management and consulting, primarily in the oil and gas industry.
Upon retirement, Kathryn and Scott settled in Okotoks. One of Kathryn's great joys in retirement was having more time to spend with her children and grandchildren. Kathryn’s acts of generosity, love and kindness made a difference in the lives of everyone who knew her.
A ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 in Okotoks, Alberta. Please contact [email protected] for details.
