Keith Pedersen passed away suddenly at home in Calgary, AB on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the age of 68. Born to Cevard and Elsie in Empress, AB, Keith was an Alberta boy to the core. His love for the land led to studies in geology, a move to Calgary, the start of a family and a successful career as an innovator and leader in the oil patch; in time joining Renaissance and then moving to Husky Energy, from where he eventually retired. A committed family man, Keith is survived by his wife, Heather; daughter, Kristen (Charles) Prepolec; son, Drew; mother, Elsie; brothers, Ed and Charles; sisters, Lynn Morrison and Jan Young; and their spouses, children and grandchildren. Keith was predeceased by his father, Cevard; sister, Karen Michael; and sister-in-law, Linda Friesen. A Celebration of Keith’s Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, AB (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, http://www.heartandstroke.ca/.
