

Keith Douglas Smith passed away suddenly at home of heart failure on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the age of 54 years. Keith was born in Calgary on October 7, 1963. He grew up in Ipperwash, Winnipeg and Portage La Prairie before moving back to Calgary in 1978. Keith was a jack of all trades and master of none before he opened his own roofing company, Grunt Labour. In 1984, he met the love of his life, Marilyn, and was married for 29 years. Other loves of his life were Hockey and his animals. Keith is sadly missed by his loving wife, Marilyn; his mom and dad, Gayle and Frank; sister Debbie; mother-in-law Donna; brother-in-law Richard (Barb); as well as his nieces Lauren and Lindsay. He also leaves behind Pearl, Jesse, Fergie, Harley, Star and Jack. Keith was predeceased by his brother Neil, father-in-law Eric and his nana Edna. A Celebration of Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Cochrane Humane Society, 62 Griffen Industrial Point, Cochrane, AB T4C 0A3.
