Kenneth Murray Asmus

Ken is survived by his loving wife and partner Marge; his children Jenny Asmus and Laura Asmus (Brendan), and Jennie, Heidi (JD), Jesse; his grandchildren Jonah, Isaac and Abigail; and his brother Jim and his family. He was very devoted as a husband and partner, parent, grandparent and friend - always there for those who needed him. Ken was also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, actively involved and committed to the interests of war veterans and their families. Ken had a long career in the sheet metal industry and worked as a Process Development Manager, contributing innovative ideas and mentorship to many throughout his career. Ken's generous nature and sense of humour would make anyone smile. He touched many lives - great memories of Ken will be cherished for years to come. The family wish to express sincere gratitude and thanks to the staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre who went above and beyond to provide care to Ken and help our family through everything.

A Memorial Service in Ken’s honour will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 284, 606 38 Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 8J9 on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Go Dad Go, sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, http://www.tinyurl.com/godadgo.
