I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with Koney in July 2004 when he came over to Saint Vincent with Auntie Kate and other members of the family for my cousin's wedding.  During the holiday, we were staying at the same house which was my mom's. The one thing I really noticed was how effortlessly Koney fit in with our family during the few weeks we went to hang out. I realized this was because he was a very likeable guy, easy to talk to!  The kind of guy you want to have around and spend time with and talk to; often happy and smiling, and ready to have a laugh!  It's a shame we lived in different countries but I'm glad we met. My deepest condolences to Aunt Kate, all of Koney's family, friends and everyone else who knew him and were touched by his life.

First I would like to say to everyone here today, especially my beloved Aunty Kate, I am so sorry for your loss. I know Koney meant so much to all of you, but for me, Koney was a father I never had and a friend I could always rely on.  He was my buddy I could hang with.  We would watch all sorts of sports together especially soccer.  We talked a lot about girls. He said I should always use my heart and mind when I meet a girl and not to judge her by her face.  I loved Koney very much. I will miss going to soccer with him, to the mall, and to the movies.  Koney had always promised to take me to Ghana someday.  I guess that trip will have to wait.  My friend is gone, but I will never forget about him.  I will always, forever remember him in my heart.  Love Monk.

Koney and I met in April 2000 while we were both working at SCN.  We quickly became friends.  In October of that same year I invited him to a Saint Vincent banquet where he met many of my family and friends.  In January 2001, I brought him to my family home to be formally introduced to everyone.  Then in June 2001 Koney came to live with us there until June 2002 when we bought our current home together.  In April 2003 Koney took me to Ghana where I was introduced to many of his relatives and friends.  So, of course, I was more than happy to share with him the home which I am from, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.  In July 2004, Koney and I flew to St. Vincent where he met the rest of my family and friends I grew up with.  It was during our Carnival time, so Koney was having plenty of fun, as we all know he always loved a good fete.  He fell in love with the clear blue waters and the soft sands of the island, but most of all, he was won over by the friendliness of the local people.
Koney was a man who loved to cook.  If he was cooking, it meant my door bell would soon be ringing, because Koney would be calling up my family to come share his food, which was always appreciated.  He had a spirit of sharing and kindness in all the little things he did.  The one thing I will miss for sure is coming home to find little notes left on the table for me; “Don’t worry, Moll(that's what he liked to calle me), daddy is bringing Toonie Tuesday for your enjoyment.”   
Koney loved to have any reason to get dressed up nice.  He would sometimes put on his best suit just so we could take a picture.  He was always in attendance at our St. Vincent parties and the man could never sit down.  Once the music started, you knew Koney was on the dance floor.  He was truly a man who lived for fun.  He was a good dad, a kind hearted bother, and a loving husband.  He may have been born in Ghana, but he had a special place for St. Vincent in his heart.  He was as much a part of our family as the one he was born into and his death has left an empty place where his laughter use to be.

Koney, Scott Greg and I will miss you dearly. You were a big part of our life the 4 years we all lived together. Greg fondly remembers all the WWF wrestling you use to do with him and the matches the two of you attended. Scott remembers all the times you liked to show him off to your friends by him playing his guitar. They remember you saying proudly these are my boys. I will always remember all the great times and adventures we had and the trips to Kelowna, LA, San fransico, Hollywood and camping on Malibu beach. I thank you for teaching me to make soup and fufu that I mastered and was enjoyed every weekend by your friends. Christian and I will miss your visits to our house and the big smile you always came with. RIP my friend and some day we will all meet again.

Koney your passing was a great shock.  You are the second guy that I knew from work that has passed away.  We will miss you at SCM. I offer my condolences to your family and to all those people that were close to you.  May god bless you and may you rest in  peace bother.

Koney will be missed by myself Deborah and my two sons Scott and Greg we all lived together for nearly 4 years and travelled together to Kelowna, Los Angelas, San Fransico with many great memories. Koney taught me how to make Pepper and peanut soup and Fufu that I mastered and had all his great friends over to eat nearly every weekend. Koney spent many hours WWF wresling with Greg when he was a youth and went to WWF Fights and a Monster Truck Rally with him. He also like to show off Scott's musical talents to his friends and very pround of his boys as he called them. Koney continued to visit on  regular occassions and always kept in contact. RIP my friend you will be missed by many. Always remembered never forgotten.

Koney you have touched all of our lives in a good way. We love you, we will miss you and may you rest in peace forever.

Koney when I first heard about your passing I was in total shock, I couldn't believe that God had taken away a gentle soul like you.  They say the good die young, and that represents you.

I am still in shock over your passing, I know you are in a better place and God is taking care of you.  We will miss your loving kindness and that charming smile you always have on your face.

Uncle Koney, it's still  hard to  to believe and  understand what has happened. Maybe we never will, but we can take comfort  and assurance in the fact that, you are resting with the Almighty Father.
