Lawrence Douglas "Larry" Brooks

Larry is survived by his loving partner, Nora; his children, Jason (Alysia), Denny, and Vicki (Tyrone); his siblings, David (Linda) and Debbi (Doug). Lawrence was adored by his grandchildren, Lucas, Kennedy, and Joshua, as well as five nieces and one nephew. He was predeceased by his mother, Norma (2004) and father, Ted (1981). Larry was born in London Ontario, October 8, 1953 and moved to Calgary, Alberta where he spent most of his life. He began a career working in the automotive industry, a passion which came second only to his love of family. Larry was a hardworking, loving, generous man and his presence in our lives will be forever missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers and if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200-325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 9Z9.
