Leonard Clarence White passed away peacefully at home in Calgary, AB on Friday, October 21, 2011 at the age of 87 years. Leonard is lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Leonard was born November 10, 1923 in Veteran, AB. He joined the Navy in 1942 and served on the H.M.C.S. Tecumseh as an Able Seaman. Along with his father and brothers, Leonard ran the family business, White Cartage & Excavation until his retirement in 1987. Leonard’s passion was his racing pigeons and he was a member of the Calgary Pigeon Club for many years. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 3:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to a Veteran’s organization of one’s choice.
