July 13, 1909 – August 8, 2011
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Leslie (Les) Moulton. Born in Bombay, India on July 13, 1909, Leslie was one of five children born to his father, John Ridgway Moulton and mother, Ellen Jane Moulton. In 1927, he took a four year apprenticeship under his father at the Times of India in the trade of Composing. Leslie immigrated from England to Canada in the late 1950’s and became a Canadian Citizen on February 3, 1969. He moved to Toronto where he worked for the Globe and Mail as an editor until his retirement. In 1975, he moved to Alberta with his dear friend Bhup Singh Negi and family. Les was a jolly good fellow and will be missed by his friends and family alike. It was Leslie’s wish not to have a funeral. If friends desire, condolences may be sent in the form of donations in Leslie’s honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 – 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
