It is with sadness we announce Linda Alice Gee has passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the age of 67 years. Linda was loved by all that knew her, her smile was larger than life and her laughter could be heard all the way to the heavens. Linda fought her three and a half year battle with cancer with courage. Her positive attitude was an inspiration to all of us. She will be missed by her beloved son Michael (Kim) Gee, her daughter and best friend Angela (Dom) Colabella. Linda’s children were her world, she was happiest when spending time talking with them and was proud of who they have become. Linda was fortunate to have five grandchildren: Steven, Noah, Emily, Ethan and Kaleena. Each had their own unique relationship with their nanny. She was a great listener, encouraging and comforting. They shared many laughs and stories together. Linda had many friends that she shared special relationships with and loved her dearly, many from working at The Hudson Bay for 37 years. Linda was the eldest of three children, survived by her brother Jim and sister Heather. She is predeceased by her parents Jim and Alice Barrett. Linda was predeceased by her husband Frank Nicifore and will be missed by his son Randy (Chris) Nicifore and daughter Diane (Bill) Wellman, along with Frank’s sisters Mary and Eleanor and their families. Linda was also predeceased by her friend and the father of her children Hank Gee. They shared a unique relationship centered on their children, grandchildren and their love of politics. She was also very close with Hank’s sister Marie Gee and brother Wing (Barb) Gee. The earth is going to be quieter without Linda, but the heavens are now filled with the laughter and love Linda gave to all of us. Love you with all of our hearts and all of our souls. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
