It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, daughter and sister, Lisa Wyman of Calgary, AB at age 42. After a courageous battle with cancer, Lisa passed away peacefully at home with friends and family by her side on Saturday, October 6, 2012. Lisa was born October 11, 1969 in Lynn Lake, MB to Leslie and Vivian Dusyk. At a young age she moved to Fort McMurray, AB where she spent most of her childhood. Lisa moved to Calgary in 1995 to take a position with the Royal Bank. Chris and Lisa met through their work at the Royal Bank and were later married April 12, 2003 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Lisa was employed with the Royal Bank until the birth of her second child Zachary, and at that time decided to stay at home and raise the children. Lisa’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Being able to share in the growth and development of her two children provided her with an enormous sense of happiness and strength. Lisa was presented with a horrible challenge and faced everyday with determination and grace that was awe inspiring for those of us that were lucky enough to be with her. We cannot adequately express how important Lisa was to our family and the great sadness we feel from this loss. We love you, Mommy. Lisa is survived by her husband, Chris; daughter, Hailey Sarah and son, Zachary George; her parents Leslie Lawrence Dusyk and Vivian Sheila Dusyk (Berg) of Calgary; brother, Marcel Dusyk (Shelley) of Edmonton; nieces, Courtney and Kennedy Dusyk of Edmonton and nephews, Luke and Ben Morris of Halifax. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, October 11 between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at Queen’s Park Cemetery. We want to thank all friends, family and co-workers that provided invaluable support through this trying time. The assistance with meals, equipment, and emotional support was overwhelming and greatly appreciated. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
