Lloyd Hilton Hoecherl

He worked on his parent’s farm and then attended the Fairview Campus – Majoring in Agriculture with Honors. He went on to work in Peace River, Alberta on a Seismic Crew.

On April 28, 1953, Lloyd married Elizabeth Joy Stewart of Manville, Alberta and they lived in Edmonton, Alberta.

Their son, Aubrey Lloyd was born on March 2, 1954 and their daughter, Leola Joy was born on February 24, 1957 in Edmonton, Alberta.

Their family moved to Calgary, Alberta in the fall of 1959. On March 10, 1960 their son, Lester Hugh was born and on September 16, 1964 their daughter Bonnie Lynn was born in Calgary, Alberta.

Lloyd attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta. He worked many years with Nu-West Homes as a New Homes Service Manager and retired at 65 years.

He passed away on December 20, 2017 at the South Health Campus in Calgary, Alberta. The family would like to thank Dr. Whitaker, Dr. Stewart and all the support staff for their kind care of Lloyd in his last days.

Lloyd was predeceased by: Son Aubrey, Father Frank, Mother Lizzie, Brother Keith, Sister Ruby, Sister Mildred, Brother Angus and Sister Joyce.

Lloyd is survived by: Wife Elizabeth (Betty), Sister Doris, Brother Melvin, Daughter Leola (Lee), Son Lester, Daughter Bonnie, Ten Grandchildren,

Eight Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Lloyd’s Celebration of Life will be held at 10am on December 29, 2017 at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 St NW. Viewing is available from 9am to 10am.
