Lois was such a kind hearted and loving woman. I remember back in 2018, I had just arrived Canada for my masters program at UNBC and I came pregnant. I was attending Church of Acts 29 which was where I first had an encounter with Lois. She was one of those who  welcomed me with very warm & open hands.  She went as far as offering me a lot of her furniture sets, kitchen wares amongst other household items. This I would never forget neither did I take for granted because it saved me a lot financially and considering the fact that I was a new immigrant and a student, it was absolutely HEAVEN SENT! Everyone of my family members back home in Nigeria and abroad said prayers and blessings for Louis for this kind, rare gesture she willingly bestowed on a stranger. 

Lois I pray your soul continues to rest  in perfect peace and I know you are with your maker, our Heavenly Father. I pray God in His infinite mercy comforts your loved ones you left behind.

Lois was always ready with a hug and words of encouragement. Lois had the most beautiful smile which lite up her whole face…. Such a sweet sweet woman.

When we moved from New Brunswick we didn't know anyone. Lois and Norm invited us into their home and we spent many special occasions with their family. Lois was always a wonderful hostess, baking up goodies, nachos,  or making special dinners. We spent many, many times together playing games well into the evenings or simply fellowshipping with Lois, Norm and family. We also went on many road trips together. There were always lots of laughs during these times. It saddens us to know when we left BC in 2011 to move back home this would be our last time to ever see Lois. 

To Lois her husband and family were her world and they always came first. We are heartbroken for Norm, Nathan, Christina, Carolyn and the extended family but we uphold you all in our prayers and love. We so wish we could be there with everyone of you. Praying you will be comforted by the Lord and the beautiful memories you all have shared with Lois. Your friends Wanda & Roland Griffith

We will always remember Lois as a vibrant, caring, fun-loving person. She always looked on the bright side of things, and never said anything bad about anyone. She was a master of the kitchen, whether it be cooking, baking or canning. We loved our family dinners together. She had the table set to perfection, and each dish was a work of art. We enjoyed the games of “Janitor” which we played long into the night, not wanting the fun to end.
It was really hard making the adjustment after she and Norm moved from Prince George. Lois left a vacuum that cannot be filled. She was a “one-of-a-kind,” irreplaceable person. She has been and continues to be missed by all.
We are praying for the family, knowing that she is gone way to soon. We love you all.  Steve and Iris

She taught me how to make kombucha, gave me vegetables from the garden, freshly baked bread, and more.

Our sincerest condolences to family and all those who knew Lois.  I worked with Lois for many years when she managed the finances for Northern BC Tourism Association.  Lois was incredibly kind and caring and was first to offer a helping hand or to just make things better.  Wishing you all much strength as you deal with your loss.  May you take comfort in knowing how much we appreciated Lois and that we will always be very grateful for our time with her.
