Lois Lorraine Fester

Lois Fester passed into the presence of her Beloved Savior, on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the age of 82 years. She was born in Stoney Plain, Alberta to Carl and Mabel (Bennett) Swanson. Lois is lovingly remembered by sons Michael (Barb) Fester, Forrest Fester; daughter Melody (Kerry) Gordey; grandsons Nathan (Tiffany) Fester, Jonathan (Caitlynn) Fester, Timothy (Candice) Gordey; granddaughters Megan, Kindrie (Paul) O’Rourke, Charis (Matthew) Gordey; and seven great grandchildren. Lois is also survived by brother Derek Swanson; and sister Nancy Nixon. She was predeceased by her husband Erven Fester; parents Mabel and Carl Swanson; brother Carl; and sisters Emily, Lena and Hilda.

A Memorial service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street NW, Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Doug Brady officiating. Private family interment at Queen’s Park Cemetery will precede the service.

Deepest sympathy to the family of Lois Fester. Was a very sweet person that loved the Lord and I know she is with him now. Last time I saw my cousin was at her 80th birthday. Rest in peace dear Lois.
