Mansel Wong passed away after a brief illness in Calgary, Alberta at the Foothills Hospital on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the age of 88 years, surrounded by his family and close friends. Survived by his three children: Wesley Wong (Mary Ann), Kenneth Wong (Katherine) and Sheila Wong (Ross Howey). He will be sadly missed by his niece, Lolita Chu and his six grandchildren, Brandon, Devon, Cameron, Renée, Dylon and Allyson.
Mansel was a revered man and spiritual leader in his community. His faith in Jesus shaped him and those around him to be living examples of the life of Jesus. His wisdom came from his faith. He worked as a professional photographer in aerial photography with the Alberta Government. Early in his career, he was an award winning photographer on the international stage. He was a certified acupuncturist and he had a great love of gardening and animals.
Our hearts are heavy but our faith is strong. Until we meet again there will not be a day that you will be forgotten. Be at peace in the arms of our Lord and Saviour through eternity.
