Margaret was born in Largs, Ayrshire, Scotland where she met and married her husband Norman. In 1948, Margaret, Norman and daughter Sandra picked up roots and immigrated to Canada, settling in Northwest Calgary where she lived for more than sixty years. Although she became a proud Calgarian, Margaret always remained a feisty Scot at heart. Margaret enjoyed many years of employment as Chief Rating Officer for the Canadian Underwriters Association which later became The Insurer’s Advisory Organization. After retirement, she enjoyed spending more time with her four grandsons and cheering on the Flames and Stampeders. She also discovered a passion for china painting at the Confederation Seniors’ Centre, where she made many dear friends. Margaret is lovingly remembered by daughter Sandy Watson (Doug); grandsons Grant (Sandra), Rob (Angela) and Brett; great grandsons Eric and James; brother Ken Davidson (May) and her large extended family. She was pre-deceased by her husband Norm, grandson Glenn and sisters Isobel, Nana and Ella. Much more could be said but she was a proud, energetic lady who didn’t want a fuss made of her. In that regard, she would not have wanted flowers or donations solicited on her behalf. She would rather have encouraged you to support whatever charities are already close to your hearts.
