Margaret Frances Isenor
October 11, 1930 (Olds, Alberta)-November 27, 2019 (Calgary, Alberta)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Margaret Isenor, at the age of 89 years.
Margaret is survived by her children Larry (Linda) Isenor, Susan Ryans, Sharon (John) Vandenbeld, Terri Isenor, Jacquelin (Mark) Green and grandchildren Margaret (Craig) and Michael (Robin) Janssens, Dallas (Brooke) and Kathleen (Matt) Ryans, Hannah (Elliott), Benjamin (Aven), Emily and Joshua Green, and brother Norman. Margaret is also survived by those who simply called her “Aunt”: Geoff and David Hunt, Jeremy and Christopher Smith, and Christine MacDowell. She was pre-deceased by her husband Francis Douglas Isenor and her son-in-law William (Bill) Ryans, as well as brothers Bob, Archie, Gordon, Harry, and Jerry.
When our Dad passed away in 1967, Mom raised us single-handedly while also providing care for several foster children. She later opened a day home that she operated until her retirement.
Mom was a force to be reckoned with. You always knew where you stood with her, as she said it like it was, with no sugar-coating (aka no filter). She had eight grandchildren whom she cherished and adored. She never complained and we all knew she loved us even though she wasn't a hugger or an "I love you" kind of person. Her sense of humor was infectious and the twinkle in her eye let you know she was about to blurt something out. We will always remember Mom for her wisdom, her love of children and animals, her ability to attract and include everyone, and her hilarious observations on life and love.
We would like to send out a huge thank you to everyone at Covenant Care Holy Cross Manor for the incredible care they provided to Mom and the compassion and support they provided to us during and at the end of Mom’s life.
A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held at later date.

Miss my Mom. Two days after Mom passed we had to say goodbye to our little cat Kimmie. Mom always wanted a pet at the lodge but was unable to look after one. Perhaps they found each other. Love you Mom and Miss Kimmie

Thank you for being a wonderful friend and including us as family for 46 years. Raising our sons from 6 weeks old up into their teens was such a gif to us and to them. 5 days every week you cared for them, and others, like a parent. In teaching them so much, keeping them all safe and happy, you had the most important job in the world! Your own children were great in sharing their home too.
Despite your own hardships you were always positive, your lovely smile, sense of humour, quick wit and energy made all around you feel good. We are grateful and blessed, you gave us so much love.
We pray we meet again,God Bless. With Love & Respect, the Hunts
