Margaret Rose Davids (nee Ross), dearly beloved wife of Harvey, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Friday, January 3, 2020. Margaret and Harvey met at Sun Oil Company, and after a whirl wind courtship embarked on a year-long adventure to Europe together. Back in Calgary, work at Hamilton Brothers and Ocelot Industries followed, and then marriage, and two beautiful children. When the children started school, Margaret worked for Alberta Health Services Region until her retirement.
Margaret and Harvey travelled to five Olympic Games; Mexico and Arizona for their relaxing time. She loved the enjoyment her adorable grandchildren provided, and spent long and happy hours with them.
Left to mourn are her husband Harvey; daughter Danielle (Michael) McGhan; grandchildren Sophia, Erick, and Alivia; sisters Ann Marie, and Agnes Ross; brothers Peter (Sheila), Allan (Indra), and Ian (Rhonda) Ross; as well as Harvey’s brothers Kenny (Sheila), Barry (Karen); and sister Bev (Harvey) Silverstone. Many nephews and nieces loved her dearly and will miss her true unwavering love and support. Margaret was known and loved by all for her zest for life. She brightened a room with her smile and vibrant energy. She was a welcome addition to any social gathering.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Rose Ross; her son Ryan; and her sister Terry Stokes.
A Celebration Of Margaret’s Life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 promptly at 11:00 a.m. Margaret Rose will be laid to rest next to her son, Ryan, at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
