Elaine was born in Trochu, Alberta. She spent her youth in Three Hills, Alberta before following her dear husband Bud to Calgary. Mom loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved travelling, gardening, doing many crafts and staying active by golfing, hiking and attending aqua classes.
Elaine was preceded in death by her loving husband Bernard “Bud” and is survived by daughter Donna [Frank] Ostrow, sons, Ken [Kelly] and Rod [Sally]. Elaine loved being a grandma [Nana] to Kyle [Holly] and Shawn [Kaitlin] Ostrow and Megan [Gavin] Cribb and Ryan Stewart. She also is survived by three great grandchildren Jaxson, Stella and Easton Ostrow.
The last few years of her life she spent at BowView Manor. Family would like to give a special thank you to the staff on the 5th floor for all the care they gave her.
A Celebration of Elaine's Life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220-4th Street N.W., Calgary on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10:00 am.
