Maria Nicola Di Tata

September 27, 1926 – August 13, 2011

Maria Nicola Di Tata passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her children Rosario (Eleanor) Di Tata of Vulcan, Marietta Nucci (Mario) Novello, Gina (Carlo) Galasso; twelve grandchildren Giulia, Joseph (Jen), Giuseppe (Debbie), Michelle (Dave), Daniel (Chandra), Jennifer (Russell), Janine (Scott), Martino (Sabina), Steven, Nicholas, Carlo Jr., Antonio; and fourteen great grandchildren; sister Lucia, brother Nick (Bonnie); brother-in-law Giacinto (Maria); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Giuseppe and son- in-law Mario. Relatives and friends were invited to a Prayer Service held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 1566 Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary AB, on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 7:00p.m. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 1:00p.m. Entombment followed at Queen’s Park Cemetery Mausoleum. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 – 29 Street NW, Calgary AB, T2N 4N2.
