She spent the majority of her life in Calgary raising her children in the community of Bowness where she came to know many people over the years. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time sharing a laugh with family and friends, watching Coronation Street every night with Don, haggling at garage sales, collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia and listening to old time country music first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years Don Hobbs, her children, Tim Kiyawasew, Kim Kiyawasew, Mike Hobbs, Jody (Ken) Hobbs, and Jilly Kiyawasew. She was an amazing and supportive grandmother to Cynthia, Jessica, Eldon, Kaitlyn, Jeremy, Willow, and Kai and Emma. Elizabeth was also a great-grandmother having shared a special relationship with Brooklyn, Destiny, and Benjiman, Braxton, Kiki and Alexis. Elizabeth is survived by her brothers, sisters and family on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation. She is also missed by her best friend Linda Moore.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her oldest son Leroy Kiyawasew, her parents Constant and Isabelle Kiyawasew, brothers Raymond, William, and Norman and baby sister Lavina.
A private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
