Matthew "Matty" Edward Thomas Ward

Matthew “Matty” Ward was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He attended Our Lady of Peace school and later Bishop O’Byrne High School, where he formed lasting friendships and strong roots within his community.

Matty is survived by his loving parents; Robert and Barbara, his sister; Kari, and his cherished niece; Aurora. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle. His family meant everything to him.

Matty was an accomplished and passionate chef who took great pride in his work. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication and talent in the kitchen. He participated in cooking competitions and spent meaningful years developing his culinary career at Joey Tomatoes and many other restaurants, where his skills and commitment were evident to all who worked alongside him.

Matty will be remembered for his hard work, passion for cooking, and the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
