Melinda was born in Stettler, Alberta on August 19, 1948 and was raised in Halkirk, Alberta with her twin sister and six other siblings, before moving to Jasper, Alberta. Eventually residing in Calgary, Alberta; where she built a loving family with husband John. Melinda worked in the automotive industry for many years, making countless friends along the way. She had a passion for sewing and a devotion to everyone in need. Melinda is and will always be our favourite person.
Melinda is survived by daughter Stacey (Dwayne), son Chad (Meghan), grand-daughters: Lisa, Madison, and Jennifer, brothers: Clarence (Delores) and Bill (Judy), sisters: Maureen (Lynel), Roxinne and Laurie, sister-in-law Linda (Pete), many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends: Donna, Margaret, Carla and Debbie.
Predeceased by husband John, parents Fred and Vera Airey, twin sister Clarinda, brothers: Gerald and Lawrence; brother-in-law Reg, sister-in-laws Dorothy and Mary, mother and father-in-law Harold and Ann Parker.
A Memorial Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220-4th ST NW, Calgary (across from the Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Deborah Parr officiating.
