Michael Cowell

November 20, 1922 - February 13, 2013

Michael Oryst Cowell passed away peacefully at the Beverley Centre Glenmore with his family at his side on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Mike is survived by his wife Violet; daughter Bonnie (Danny) Hill; Lillian Vankeldenkerken and children Kala and Evan; sister-in-law Lillian Smith and brother-in-law Art Mutcher. Mike was a proud veteran who served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII. In 1948, Mike and Vi moved to Calgary where they raised their family. His career spanned 30 years with AGT (Telus) as a microwave tower installer and foreman. Mike loved his family more than anything and we will love him forever in our hearts. At Mike’s request there will be no funeral service. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to The Mustard Seed, 102-11 Ave S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 0X5 or a charity of one’s choice. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to all the staff at the Beverley Centre Glenmore for their loving care and compassion. We will miss you, Mike.
