Norman Nam Ming Chee, beloved husband of Sandy Lai Mui Chee of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the age of 80 years. Norman was born in Guangzhou, China on August 12, 1939, and graduated from Taiwan Normal University with a degree in Education. Norman was married to Sandy in 1968 on Christmas Day. He was a proud president of the Chinese Cultural Club of Southern Alberta for over 20 years. For the past few years, he has been teaching Chinese calligraphy to a group of students/friends. He accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of his family. He will be most remembered for his charisma, friendly spirit, and love of his family and friends. Besides his loving wife, Norman is survived by his two sons, Conley and Gordon; their spouses Emily and Alexa; and five grandchildren, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Kingston, Xavier, and Ellia. Norman is also survived by his brother Pui Lam; and sisters Mo Tuen and Mo Sheung; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Norman spent his last moments doing what he loved most, having coffee with his friends.
