Orville “Cy” Sullivan was born on May 24, 1935 and passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning of October 4, 2012 at the age of 77 years.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years Della, his children Kim (Ted), Blake and Barry; and his grandchildren Ryan and Kelly. Cy was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mabel and his siblings Vivian, Larry, Hanna, Lucille and Johnny.
Enjoying an early retirement from General Motors, Cy became a passionate gardener. He also enjoyed spending time at the horse races. His dogs, Boots, Smokie, Dana, Tika and Rex were a special part of his life and with them enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Cy was awarded the 2001 Team Inductee by the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame in recognition of the induction of the 1950-1954 Melfort Juniors. He was also a big fan of curling and hockey.
A Celebration of Cy’s Life will be held at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate) Calgary on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:30 a.m.
