Born in Port Arthur Ontario, September 6, 1953, to John and Ida Hale, Pat and her family moved to Hinton, Alberta in 1955 where she attended school graduating from high school in 1970. Pat was an excellent student and compassionate person; she received her Registered Nurse certification in 1972 at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. While in training at the Misericordia, Pat met a young handsome athletic man named Len in 1971 and they married on August 9, 1975. Pat went on to work as an RN at the Misericordia, Bonnyville and Cold Lake Hospitals before retiring in 1986 due to persistent TMJ problems.
