Philip Maurice Glover

Maurice was born in Birmingham, England on August 22, 1928. He was predeceased by his wife Olga in 2005. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Ruth; son Nigel (Bev - daughter #2!), and nephews David (in the UK), and Bob and Mike (Darlene) Rowe. Maurice and Olga emigrated with their children from England to Ontario in 1957 and then moved out west to Alberta in 1958. Maurice's interest in agriculture led him to several jobs including a salesman for Golden West Seeds, and running his own cattle feed business. In his later years he worked on his own in home and office renovations. Maurice liked to putter in his greenhouse where he grew tomatoes and a variety of flowers. He was actively involved in the Beddington Pentecostal Church for over 50 years and he will be missed by the friends he made there.

A Funeral Service will be held at Beddington Pentecostal Church, 16 Bermuda Drive N.W., Calgary on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 29 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 4N2.
