

Raymond Arthur Palardy passed away at Rosedale Hospice in Calgary, Alberta on April 6, 2011 at the age of 76 years. Ray is survived by his loving wife Jeannine. He is also survived by his three children, Lee Ann (Tom), Norman (Trish) and Nancy (Chris), his 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Ray was born in Strathmore, Alberta on October 10, 1934. He was raised in Strathmore and Calgary. He attended St. Mary's High School, participating in football and track and field. He played football with the Calgary Bronks. Ray joined the Calgary Police Service in 1956 and retired in 1986. He then became Chief of Police in Medicine Hat, Alberta for six years. Ray and Jeannine then enjoyed many years of travelling together. Ray became an avid golfer in his retirement years.
