Ray was also predeceased by his best friend and jamming buddy, Sandy Aberdeen (Heather).
Ray was born in Sudbury, Ontario, on February 15, 1954.
He traveled across the country in 1975 and met his wife Debbie in Calgary, where he lived for the remainder of his life.
Ray was a kind and quiet man who was a talented artist and musician. He loved going for walks in Fish Creek Park with his family and beloved dog Jojo. His passion for music was shared with many friends over the years, as were his paintings that captured the beauty of nature through his eyes.
Some of Ray’s favorite times were spent fishing, camping, playing hockey, having a fire in the backyard, and tending to his cactus garden.
Ray fought cancer courageously for several years and is now at peace. Rest easy, Ray. We will miss you terribly.
A celebration of life will be held for Ray at a future date.
