Rick was born on May 21, 1934 in Fox Valley, Saskatchewan into a family of 9 children. Rick is survived by his son Carson, of Vancouver and his daughter Carla, of Surrey B.C., four brothers, Peter Soehn of Kelowna, Phillip Soehn of Chilliwack, Louis Soehn of Keremeos, B.C. and August Soehn of Medicine Hat, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Rick will be missed by those whose lives he touched, whether in the local restaurant, around town or at church. He is known to many as a very talented artist and the “maker of name tags”, as he created thousands of name tags for almost everyone he knew or dealt with whether at the local restaurant, bank, grocery or hardware store.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Rick’s life will be held at Living Stones Church, 2020 - 40 Avenue, Red Deer, AB on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
