Reuben Raymond Heppner

Reuben is survived by his loving wife Norma; son Myron; daughter in-law Mariana; grandchildren Kathryn, Kurtis, Amanda, Rebecca, Jessica and Melissa; and great grandsons Austin and James. He was predeceased by his youngest son Dwayne. The youngest of 6 children, he is survived by his brother Art and sister Leona and predeceased by his sister Ella, and brothers John and Peter.

Born in Waldhiem, Saskatchewan in 1935, Reuben moved to Alberta shortly after marring Norma Geisbrecht in 1956. This October would have been their 60th wedding anniversary. Reuben was always comfortable talking with people and made many friends along the way while working in various sales positions throughout the years. Active in his church, he is best remembered for greeting and ushering at Southview Alliance Church. In his retirement years, Reuben became passionate about biking and spent a great deal of his summertime hours riding through Calgary’s various bike paths. He will be lovingly remembered, and greatly missed by all who loved and new him.

A Memorial Service will be held at Southview Alliance Church, 1436 James McKevitt Road SW, on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
