It is with profound sadness that the family of Bob Ware announce his peaceful passing in Calgary, Alberta on Monday, May 16, 2022, at the age of 79 years. He is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley. He was a loving father to his four children; Michael (Janice), Shirley Lois, Carole (Jim), and David (Kate). He was extremely proud of his six grandchildren; Kayleigh, Connor, Sarah, Phillip, Finn, and Max. Nothing was more important to Bob than family.
He was predeceased by his parents Lillian and Gordon Ware and his siblings Beverly Roberts and Kenneth Ware. He will also be dearly missed by his friends at the Sierras of Country Hills.
Bob was born in 1942 in St. Hubert, Quebec. He worked as a sheet metal worker in Montreal. Eventually he and Shirley moved the family to Calgary, Alberta in 1977, where he began working for CEA Simon Day as a Combustion Equipment Associate and Vice President. He then founded his own very successful company, Bob Ware’s Agri-Services.
His many interests included riding horses, supporting the Calgary Stampeders and Calgary Flames, traveling, family genealogy, and silversmithing.
He and Shirley enjoyed traveling and cruising to many places around the world: Europe - including visiting the birthplaces of his and Shirley's parents, Hawaii, and Mesa, Arizona, where they spent many enjoyable winters playing bocce in the sun with friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in early July.
