

Robin “Bob” Mansfield passed away in Calgary, AB on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the age of 81 years.
Bob was born in Lloydminster, SK on December 30, 1931 to Harvey and Doris (Hudson) Mansfield. In his early career, Bob worked as an Office Manager for Canadian Freightways. He started his own landscaping business in the 1970’s and it became his life-long interest. Later in life, Bob’s business endeavors also included residential property management. He continued working right up until becoming ill. Bob was an avid sports fan and loved hockey most of all. He is survived by his best friend and loving partner for the last 20 years, Maria Dick. A loving and proud father and grandfather, Bob will be sadly missed by his children: sons, Michael (Thyra McLeod) and Warren; daughter, Loreen (Greg Cane) and grandchildren, Mathew and Zachary (sons of Michael and Thyra) as well as his ex-wife, Kathleen Mary Mansfield. He was predeceased by his brother, Lionel Mansfield. The family would like to thank the medical team at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the Peter Lougheed Hospital staff for their support during Bob’s illness.
A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 29 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 4N2.
