It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rolando “Bong” Bulaong on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Rolando was born and raised in Jaen, Philippines, and was the youngest of five siblings. At the age of 17, he immigrated with his family to Winnipeg, Manitoba. He then moved to Calgary in 2004 with his wife and children. Rolando was a man of few words, but was caring and humorous to those who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife Liza (nee Breta); his children Cody, Ashley and Melissa; his mother Epifania; his siblings Imelda, Isagani, Yolanda and Marcel; as well as countless relatives and friends. A Prayer Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, AB (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 7:00 p.m., with a visitation to follow from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Parish on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 9:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
