

Ron graduated from Okanagan College with a Diploma in Civil Engineering, and then went on to obtain his Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He received his Professional Engineering Designation in BC. Ron spent most of his engineering career in Kelowna, BC, where he owned a successful geotechnical engineering company and made many lifelong friends.
In 2013, Ron reconnected with the love of his life Donna. They were married in 2014 and spent 4 years in Kelowna. As Ron neared retirement, he and Donna moved to Calgary.
Ron lived life to the fullest. He lived with passion, love and humour. He was talented in woodworking and he especially enjoyed building special jewelry boxes for his family. Whether he was working on old motorcycles, or making food for his loved ones, Ron enjoyed keeping busy and working with his hands. Ron also loved to travel. Some of his favourite countries he visited were Mexico, Italy, Spain and Peru.
Above all else, Ron loved his family and friends and the time he spent with them. Ron was a kind, thoughtful and humorous man who was loved by all who knew him. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Donna; and their blended families, children; Jason (Beckie), Angela (Jeff), Melissa (Josh) and Chris and his 5 grandchildren; Noah, Hailey, Sophia, Olivia and Finley; 3 Sisters; Pat (Orville), Jeannette (Raymond), Barb (Glenn), 4 Brothers; Jim, Bill (Penny), Bruce (Linda), Brian and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Nora, Niece Sarah and Nephew Landon.
A Private Celebration of Ron’s life will be held on March 25, 2022.
