Ronald Wake Phillips, beloved husband and father, passed away in Calgary on Saturday January 31, 2015 at the age of 66. Ron is survived by his loving wife Diane, his son Russell (Lindsay) and his brothers-in-law John and Ken (Lise).
Born on July 17, 1948 in Sexsmith, Alberta, Ron was raised as a farmer and spent his career working in various fields as an electrician, a seismic operator, a mechanic and as a courier. Ron is remembered for his love of tinkering and learning new things as a tradesman of every kind. Just like his father before him, Ron was also passionate gardener.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Gathering and Celebration of Ron’s Life being held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ron’s honour may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.
