Rosalie Rand

Rosalie passed away peacefully at the Mayfair Care Centre, on September 7, 2012 at the age of 99 years. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Robert and Lane Rand, granddaughter, Tracy Rand, grandson, Scott Rand and wife, Yael and great granddaughter, Kennedy Rand. Rosalie was predeceased by her husband, John Rand in 1993.

She was born in Strathmore on July 1, 1913 and married John in 1938. Her twin sons, Robert and Lane were born in 1939. Rosalie lived the early part of her married life in East Coulee, AB and moved to Duncan, Vancouver Island in 1944. She subsequently relocated to Nanaimo until 1954. At that time the family moved back to Alberta so that she could be close to her parents who were ailing. Rosalie remained in Calgary until passing away.

A Celebration of Rosalie’s Life will be held at her home, 7440 - 21 Street SE, Calgary, on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.

We would also like to acknowledge the excellent and caring attention that was provided to her at the Mayfair Care Centre during the last years of her life. The family extends our heartfelt thanks to the Management and Staff for their devotion to her comfort and those currently in their care.
