With heavy hearts, the Helfmann family announce the passing of their mother, Rosemarie, who died peacefully on June 7th, 2022, in her room at Bethany Riverview in Calgary, Alberta. Mom was born on August 17th, 1923, in Elend, Harz, Germany. At this time, we also honour the passing of our father, Werner who died peacefully on March 18th, 2001, in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Dad was born on December 21st, 1929, in Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany.
Rosel and Werner are survived by 3 children, Claus (Valerie), Rose (Garry), Fred (Beverley); 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Bless those souls that have passed before them.
A Celebration of Life will be held at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail South, (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. It will be followed by a lunch reception, and interment at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
