It is with great sadness that we announce Roy’s passing.
He was born and raised in Calgary, where he taught industrial arts and math for the Calgary Board of Education for nearly 30 years.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Irene (nee Johanson); sons Douglas (Dorcas) and John (Verna), as well as his brother Ernie (Jean) and many nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his son Mark, and his older brother Jim.
Remembered for his love of family, his laughter, his passion for music and travel, Roy was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A private funeral celebrated Roy’s life on Monday, August 12, 2024.
