Mr Russell Herbert Williams

It is with great sadness that the family of Russell H Williams announce his passing on Thursday Dec 21, 2017 at the age of 89 years after a lengthy courageous battle with heart disease. Russell leaves behind his dear partner (in crime) Janet Gilmore, children Jerry (Alison), Janice (Chris), Ray (Delane) and step-son Robert Crawford. Grandchildren Jesse, Joshua, Samantha, Sarah, Brad, Megan and Tamara Crawford. Great grandchildren Jayden, Julian & Ethan. Predeceased by his first wife Marguerite, second wife Irene and brother Bill.

Russell was an avid community supporter who coached hockey, was a volunteer firefighter, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 73 years, a lifetime Lions Club member and a World War II Army Veteran.

A true gentleman who was always there to lend a hand to anyone.

Funeral service will be held at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited for lunch and refreshments following the service.
